Day 01: Arrive and acclimatise
Day 02: Sightseeing (Potala, Jokhang and Barkhor Street)
Day 03: Sightseeing (Drepung and Sera monasteries)
Day 04: Visit Norbulingka and Leave

ITINERARY


Day 01: Arrive Lhasa
You will be met by our local Tibetan guide and given the traditional greeting of a white scarf, then transferred to your hotel some 100 km away in Lhasa town. On the way you will pass by a Buddha engraved on the mountainside. If if the right state of mind you will receive its blessings for your journey. On hotel check in you must take full rest to acclimatise.

Day 02: Sightsee Lhasa
The stepping off place for your tour is of course the massive Potala Palace – past home of the Dalai Lamas. From here you have a bird’s eye view of the entire city of Lhasa and surrounding mountains.

After lunch, we visit the spiritual heart of Tibetan Buddhism – the Jokhang temple.

Next we explore the busy Barkhor Street, seeing the local community and its colorful hand made products.

In the evening, we pay a visit to a Tibetan family.

Day 03: Sightsee Lhasa
After breakfast, we drive 8km from the city visit Drepung Monastery. It was one of the largest monasteries of Tibet, housing more than 10,000 monks.

In afternoon, we visit Sera Monastery, also located a short distance from central Lhasa.

Day 04: Leave
Before your departure we pay a short visit to the summer palace of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, known as Norbulingka.
