MAIN ITINERARY

Day 01: Sunday
Arrive KOLKOTTA.
Assistance upon arrival and transfer to your hotel. Visit includes the Victoria Memorial, Kali Ghat and the Howrah Bridge (depends on the International Flight timing). Rest of the time at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02: Monday
KOLKOTTA - DIBRUGARH
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Dibrugarh
Alliance Air 1010 1140 arr
Assistance upon arrival and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the time at leisure to explore the small town of Dibrugarh. Overnight at the hotel.

§§§§ Alternately (if water level of Brahmaputra River is low), we can have an overnight stay at Purvi Island, away from the town where there will be tented accommodation. It would be easier to take the connecting ferry the next day to Pasighat.

Day 03: Tuesday
DIBRUGARH - PASIGHAT (155m)
Morning take the local ferry ride to Pasighat. The ferry ride will be approx 04-05 hours. Upon arrival check in at the guest house. Rest of the time hiking in the village around Pasighat and in the town.

Day 04: Wednesday
PASIGHAT - ALONG (300m)
Distance: 100 kilometers
Duration: 05 hours
Along the headquarter of West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh located at an altitude of 300m are the inhabitants of Adi (Gallong) tribes. Adi has different sub tribe, which differ from each other's like Adi (Gallong, Minyong, Pasi, Padam, Bori, and Bokar). Interesting visit enroute would be the hanging bridge on the Siang river local made of cane and bamboo around 70 meters long connecting to the others hill tribes. We will take the hike at any village enroute for the first hand experience. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05: Thursday
ALONG
Today we will take the hike to the interesting village of Koshing where David Nealson, the British explorer was murdered. The interesting walk through the forest and fields for about 02 hours reaches you to the village of Koshing. Very interesting village where few tourist have ventured before.
Return back to Along for the dinner and over night stay.

Day 06: Friday
ALONG - DAPORIZO (600m)
Distance: 160 kilometers
Duration: 08 hours
Daporijo is the headquarter of the Upper Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh located at an altitude of 600m is an inhabitant of Tagin tribe, theirs faces which resembles to Chinese. Interesting town to walk around and hike to some interesting village nearby.

Day 07: Saturday
DAPORIZO - ZIRO (1560m)
Distance: 160 kilometers
Duration: 07 hours
Enroute you can have visit of Hillmiri tribal villages at Raga (Nishi, Hillmiri and Tagin tribe are more or less similar in their culture customs, tradition, and also slight similarity in their dialogue).
Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Rest of the time at leisure.

Day 08: Sunday
ZIRO
Ziro is the headquarter of Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh and is a plateau surrounded by Apatani tribal villages, Dibbo- Hija-Bulla-Hari and Hong village. Hong village are to be counted as second biggest and most oragnise tribal villages in Asia. The uniqueness of Apatani tribe is tooting in women face and its nose plug, which you will find different from the other tribe. Fish cum paddy culture is another interesting if you visit in the month of August -October. You can have visit Tarin Fish farm, museum, emporium and local market.

Day 09: Monday
ZIRO - ITANAGAR (550m)
Distance: 150 kilometers
Duration: 05 hours
The capital city of Arunachal is a modern settlement built in the vicinity of the ruin of the 14th century fort old capital. The archaeological remains of this medieval capital comprises of two brick wall ramparts. Itanagar has extremely interesting museum known as Jawaharlal Nehru Museum, time spent here can really acquaint you with the culture and tradition of this region. All prototype of the bamboo and cane architecture of dwelling of different tribes and apparel, design and functional tools and others handicrafts are display here. There is also a Buddhist temple nearby for those interested for some quiet moments. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10: Tuesday
ITANAGAR - KAZIRANGA
Morning drive to Kaziranga National Park
Distance: 260 kilometers
Duration: 07 hours
Upon arrival overnight stay in the hotel in the park.

Day 11: Wednesday
KAZIRANGA
Early morning game viewing at the park with an elephant safari. wereturn back to the hotel for break fast and continue the jeep safari inside the park. Speciality is the one horned Rhino. Other attractions are Wild Elephants, Wild Boar, Deers and Tiger. rest of the time at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
§§§§ we can stay at Kaziranga itself. Nameeree would be prefered for the return stay from Tawang.

Day 12: Thursday
KAZIRANGA - GAUHATI - KOLKOTTA
After breakfast depart for Gauhati.
Distance: 260 kilometers
Duration: 06 hours
Upon arrival take the connecting flight to Kolkotta.
Assistance upon arrival and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 13: Friday
KOLKOTTA - ONWARD DESTINATION
Transfer to the airport for the flight to the onward journey.

Day 12: Thursday
KAZIRANGA - BOMDILA (2430m)
After breakfast depart for Bomdila.
Distance: 200 kilometers
Duration: 06 hours
We will cross the check point at Bhalukpong to enter Arunachal. Continue drive to reach Bomdila. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Visit the monastery in Bomdila belonging to Rev. Tsona Gontse Rinpoche and if possible, also have an audience with Him. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 13: Friday
BOMDILA - TAWANG (3400m)
After breakfast depart for Tawang.
Distance: 190 kilometers
Duration: 07 hours
Enroute the Sela Pass at 4249m. Overnight at hotel.

Day 14: Saturday
TAWANG
Tawang is the land of Monpa tribes and the major centre of Mahayana Buddhism. After breakfast full day excursion of Tawang Monastery. The 300 year old Monastery, is considered to be the oldest and the second largest Monastery in Asia after Lhasa in Tibet. The Monastery is standing on the spur of a hill over 12,000 ft above sea level. Overlooking the wide valley and surrounded on all sides by towering mountains.

Day 15: Sunday
TAWANG
Today we will drive towards Lumla, and visit the Monpa villages enroute. The beautiful hike gives an insight into the lifestyle of the Monpa people, their culture and traditions. Also visit the birth place of the 6th Dalai Lama located near Tawang. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 16: Monday
TAWANG - DHIRANG
After breakfast depart for Tawang.
Distance:140 kilometers
Duration: 06 hours
After breakfast return back to Dhirang, enroute the walk to the village of Sherdukpen tribal villages at Rupa. Upon arrival check in at the hotel.

Day 17: Tuesday
DHIRANG
After breakfast full day visit to the Sharchokpa village, their dialect very similar to the one spoken in Bhutan. The walk through the rich and the wide valley of Dhirang will be a memorable experience for the visitors. Evening at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 18: Wednesday
DHIRANG - NAMEEREE
Distance:140 kilometers
Duration: 06 hours
After breakfast depart for Nameeree, enroute the orchid research centre at Tipi (Bhalukpong). Out of the thousand species of orchids in India, over 500 are found in Arunachal Pradesh and are displayed atTipi. Continue driveto reach Nameeree tented accommodation in the wild at the Nameeree National Park. Hornbill and other endangered bird can be found at the nearby tree.

Day 19: Thursday
NAMEEREE - GAUHATI - KOLKOTTA
After breakfast depart for Gauhati.
Distance:210 kilometers
Duration: 05 hours
Upon arrival take the connecting flight to Kolkotta. Jet Airways 1600 1710 arr.

Day 20: Friday
KOLKOTTA - ONWARD DESTINATION
Transfer to the airport for the flight to the onward journey.
